A.C.E.S. NEWS

12/2/03 - We had our first meeting, collected dues, and voted for officers.

 

President: Sue Fritts     

Vice-President: Kathy Casey
Secretary: Dave Galletly

Treasurer: David Fritts

      

 

1/5/04 - We had our second meeting; we picked choices for a club callsign, voted on our bank account at HRSB, and acquired two new members (see minutes in members area). 

 

1/28/04- Started our banking account and ordered checks at HRSB.

 

2/7/04- The FCC has awarded the club call K2ALB to the Albany County ACES Radio Club effective 2/7/04. The originally issued former call (which has never been used on the air) is hereby retired and no longer legally valid. Special thanks to Dave Galletly K2MO for all the hard work and  service to the club.


< 7 months later >

 

9/7/04- we had our September Meeting. We raised $18.00 durring the 50/50 portion of the meeting. Ray Ginter N2ZQF presented a educational program entitled "First on the Scene" dealing with first response and emergency communications..

10/5/04 - Our October meeting was held at the Albany County Emergency Management Office in Cohoes was a big success with 14 + people getting certified for their CPR training.

 

11/2/04 - The Nomination committtee was formed for the election of 2005 officers. Thanks to Skip(Frank)Chaffee and John Farina.We also went over final plans for the Emcon 1 class we will be starting in 2005.

12/7/04 6:30pm Shea's Restaurant N.Allen St. Albany - We enjoyed our Charter/Holiday Party with a delicious sitdown dinner. Special Guest was Pete Cecerce N2YJZ presented the club with it's ARRL Club Affiliation charter.

2005 Dues were also collected.  If you still need to pay please see the club treasurer at the next meeting.

Special Thanks to Kathy Casey our club vice president/program coordinator for a wonderful evening.
